Powerful acceleration and high pulling power make trips with leisurecraft and yachts an unforgettable experience. For these very special requirements MAN can supply extremely powerful and light diesel engines with ratings of 730 hp (537 kW) to 1,800 hp (1,324 kW). They get yachts up to 86 foot in length up to full speed. MAN supplies these engines ready for installation and optimally matched to the relevant operating conditions.

Transport of goods and persons, or patrol and supervision tasks at sea, are some typical workboat applications. At each weather work boats have to operate savely and reliably. They need engines cope with this tasks. MAN Marine engines with ratings from 190 kW (258 PS) bis 809 kW (1,100 PS) convience with there robust engine design and low costs of operation. They are reliably in operation and cost-efficient in application. A global service network minimises service input and costs and thus improves flexibility.

MAN diesel engines for standby and continuous power generation
In certain areas of public life, such as hospitals or banks, a supply of electricity must be ensured even in the event of a power failure. Standby generators take over in such an event – automatically and without anyone noticing. These systems simply must not break down. For use in standby gensets, but for continuous energy supply too, MAN offers absolutely reliable diesel engines rated at 225 kW to 1 117 kW.

Miles of pipelines transport gases to the final consumer or to intermediate stations. MAN gas engines with ratings in 80 kW and 160 kW reliably ensure the required pressure, especially where no central power supply is possible. MAN pump engines are used in regions where the water supply is poor or restricted. They reliably provide the necessary pressure to convey drinking water, to irrigate fields and to supply fire-fighting systems, continuously, intermittently and on stand-by. MAN offers diesel engines with ratings from 150 kW up to 1,117.
