Palfinger has announced it has concluded its search for its next CEO, poaching a senior Case IH figure, Andreas Klauser, who will take up the role on June 1 this year.
The 53-year old is currently serving as the global brand president at Case IH and Steyr, and comes with international experience.
“We are pleased to have found such an experienced executive as Andreas Klauser,” said supervisory board chairman Hubert Palfinger Jr of the appointment. “He has international market and sales experience in the area of agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles and satisfies all the requirements necessary to translate the future challenges of the digital transformation into sustainable corporate success for the Palfinger Group.”
Prior to his current position, Klauser was part of Sergio Marchionne’s team at CNH Industrial, presiding as a member of the Group Executive Council. He has successfully managed and restructured large business units in Europe and the USA, while maintaining profitability in the respective markets.
“This management position is a challenge that I am happy to accept,” Klauser added. “Palfinger is the industry’s benchmark for innovations, strategic growth and success through the proximity to its customers all over the world. Together we will tackle the next stage in our process of profitability enhancement and international growth.”
