Manuli Hydraulics has developed a new range of high-performing flat face multiconnectors that seeks to combine the performance benefits of the company’s quick couplings with the efficiencies and safety advantages of multiconnector block solutions.
The Q.safe flat face multiconnectors can cope with working pressures of up to 35MPa, with a safety factor of 4:1 in both connected and disconnected states. Design of the valve, with the addition of a polyurethane seal, means oil spillages are kept to a minimum with less than 1% of oil lost compared with equivalent-sized ISO A style couplings.
A stream-lined inner profile means the pressure drop across the product is reduced, while the choice of materials used allow high performance in temperatures ranging between -30C and +110C.
The multiconnector couplings apply the same hydrodynamic principles as the Q.safe quick couplings and, having been designed according to ISO 16028 specifications, can be interchanged with non-Manuli products.
The new multiconnectors will be on display at ConExpo in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 7-11, 2017.
