Tobroco-Giant’s 20,000th machine has rolled off the production line, the company announced recently. The milestone vehicle at the company’s Oisterwijk factory in the Netherlands was a D337T X-tra in the firm’s characteristic yellow-gray colors.
Fully equipped with heavy duty axles and a three-point hitch, the vehicle is now being shipped to a customer in Denmark. The company’s first Giant loader was built in 2001, with total machine production for that year being just 15.
By 2014, the public demand for the loader led to Tobroco-Giant building its 10,000th machine, with another 5,000 vehicles being produced in the three years following and it has taken just 18 months for the new milestone of 20,000 production vehicles to be reached.
A company spokesperson said, “In recent years, we have been growing rapidly. Partly because of the high demand for loaders, telehandlers and skid steers, but also because of the expansion of the range of machines. That is why the current production location in Oisterwijk is being optimized and expanded.
“At the end of this year several new production lines will be ready and the pre-assembly of various components is centralized, so the coming years will be used to increase the floor space and to realize a warehouse.”
