The global market launch of Umka lithium-ion batteries for all types of electric warehouse equipment and other electric vehicles will take place at CeMAT exhibition in Hanover, Germany, on May 31-June 3, 2016.
The uniqueness of this battery resides in lithium-titanate battery cells, which have never been used before in this technology field. The new generation of batteries leaves most widespread gel, lead-acid and even lithium-ion accumulators far behind in all key parameters: it has five times more resource (16,000 charge/discharge cycles), is 30% more efficient, and charges up to 30 times faster (20 minutes).
As well as higher efficiency rates and environmental friendliness, the Umka battery has a higher degree of safety: it is explosion-proof and doesn’t emit gas during charging or operation, which makes the ventilating infrastructure unnecessary. Recharge is possible at any time without removing the battery.
The battery was designed by the Umka Lab company, which is specialized in the creation of batteries for electric vehicles and hybrids, in partnership with the leading equipment manufacturers, such as Toshiba Corporation and Sevcon. The new battery has successfully passed tests of compatibility with loaders of different producers.
KBK Europe is the official Umka batteries dealer in the EU. KBK Europe is the European subsidiary of the Japanese Engineering trade firm Kyokuto Boeki Kaisha.
