Liebherr showcased its latest LH 26 C Electro Industry Litronic at IFAT 2016. This material handler with electric drive is based on the current machine generation of Stage IIIB with diesel engine, and is ideal for recycling applications, such as material handling, unloading or sorting waste paper, scrap wood and waste products. Efficiency and productivity were to the fore during the development of this high-performance yet compact machine.
The electric material handler is characterized by its power, robustness and efficiency. The stability required for maximum material handling is guaranteed by the LC crawler-track undercarriage which has a track gauge of 2400mm. In addition, the machine is equipped with a reversible fan, as well as a large-mesh radiator, to guarantee maximum machine availability in dusty environments. The configuration includes a straight boom measuring 6.1m in length and a 4.0m dipper arm.
Another feature of the LH 26 CE Industry shown at IFAT 2016 is the elevating hydraulic cab, which guarantees the driver an optimal view of both the working space and the surrounding area of the machine at all times.
The Liebherr LH 26 CE Industry combines tried-and-tested technology with a new electric drive concept to ensure low maintenance costs, quiet operation and no requirement to comply with legal emissions standards. Together with the electronically controlled Liebherr variable displacement pump, the 110kW electric motor forms an extremely efficient unit.
In the LH 26 CE Industry, Liebherr uses state-of-the-art motor technology with intelligent machine control, which optimizes the interaction of the drive components. Long service intervals and low energy costs maximize both its availability and productivity, while low noise emissions, as well as the zero-emissions electric drive make it ideal for operation in enclosed buildings.
The driver’s cab provides optimum operator comfort. This ergonomic work space with its generous proportions offers outstanding all-round visibility and low noise levels, helping the driver to concentrate throughout the working day on maximum productivity. The display unit with a color touchscreen and the control elements of the ‘comfort’ driver’s seat, are optimally coordinated to form a perfect ergonomic unit. The ergonomically shaped and adjustable joysticks also ensure precise work.
In the new Liebherr material handler the radiator fan package forms a separate unit providing the shortest most direct route for the air supply.
Safety devices such as the emergency-stop function or the main switch on the undercarriage, with integrated fuse or a fault current monitoring device, ensure maximum safety at all times. The battery-assisted back-up system permits access to the machine control, also without primary energy, thus facilitating service and repair work.
The LH 26 CE Industry also impresses with its exceptional service accessibility. All maintenance points are easy to reach from the ground, thanks to the large and wide opening service doors, thus keeping downtime to a minimum.
