Komatsu America Corp. has introduced its new PC290LL-11 to its current line of log loaders. The log loader is powered by a Tier-4 compliant Komatsu SAA6D107E-3 engine, with 196hp at its disposal.
The PC290LL-11 is available in two configurations: a 40in (101cm) reach log loader, which has an operating weight of 40,700kg (89,730 lb); and a 34in (86cm) reach road builder, which has an operating weight of 37,300kg (82,230 lb) and is better suited to more demanding logging applications.
Features of the PC290LL-11 include a high capacity cooling system, high drawbar pull, additional forestry guarding, a transport width of 11ft 5in (3492mm) transport, comfortable operator controls and LED lighting.
Features of the ROPS/OPS/FOPS/TOPS/FOG/WCB/Oregon OSHA-certified forestry cab include: a choice of 48″ hydraulic tilt or 7″ fixed cab risers; 22mm thick polycarbonate windows for skylight visibility; a fully adjustable, high-back and heated air suspension seat; 7″ high resolution LCD monitor with split-display mode; and thumb-actuated, electro-proportional control sliding buttons for more precise attachment control of the grapple and bucket thumb.
