Eaton is increasing the accuracy of off-highway vehicles’ fluid control with the launch of a compact, simplified solenoid valve.
The new five-way, three-position proportional ESVL9 screw-in cartridge valve (SiCV) features an integrated load-sense check control and provides a 21% manifold reduction in size compared with other five-ported directional control valves currently on the market.
“As customers transition from on/off control systems, Eaton’s ESVL9 valve provides a precise, compact solution for advanced proportional control,” said Tolu Oluwatudimu, product manager SiCV, Eaton Hydraulics Group Europe, Middle East and Africa. “As part of Eaton’s broad portfolio of SiCVs, the latest offering extends our commitment to helping customers solve their toughest challenges.”
The size 10 Eaton ESVL9 valve integrates the external check control within the main cartridge for a more efficient package, while also allowing customers to optimize flow forces and improve metering of flow to the spool.
While most equivalent directional control valves typically have only one spring to control metering of the spool, this new valve utilizes two springs for increased functionality.
Additionally, it was tested in over 30 design cases with fluid dynamics analysis, resulting in optimized geometry for advanced engineering and design.
Eaton’s SiCVs come in a variety of pressure and flow rates, and options that are designed to stand up to the most extreme environments.
