Liebherr will premiere two mobile cranes catering to differing operator needs at Bauma 2019.
A new eight-axle crane will provide superior performance, while a five-axle model to be unveiled at the show will suit customers seeking value for money and flexibility in application use.
Taking place at the Messe München in Munich, Germany, on April 8-14, the industrial vehicle trade show will be the first opportunity to get a glimpse of the two new mobile cranes.
Liebherr will also be displaying its LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane and LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane at the show for the first time after their recent launch, with the latter vehicle being available for delivery immediately after the event.
The powerful LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane has an 800 metric tonne lifting capacity and comes equipped with a luffing jib and derrick system – useful in power plant construction and petrochemical applications. For the first time, the vehicle’s boom system features three lattice sections which can be telescoped into each other for ease when transporting.
First introduced to the off-highway industry at one of the company’s customer days in Ehingen, Germany, toward the end of 2018, the LTM 1230-5.1 has a 75m telescopic boom length, one of the longest in its class, and delivers not only an additional 3m in length but also an average of 20% greater lifting capacity than its predecessor, the LTM 1200-5.1.
A multi-functional folding jib and a 43m fixed jib are also available with the model.
