Danfoss Power Solutions will highlight its latest solutions for off- and on-highway machinery at iVT Expo 2024, June 26-27, in Cologne, Germany. At booth 1014, visitors will discover the company’s range of products and services under the theme, “Driving Innovation: Electrification, Autonomy, and Human-machine Interface in Action.”
The off-highway machinery sector is in a period of transition. Trends such as electrification, autonomy, and digitalization are bringing countless advantages to owners and operators while presenting challenges to design and development engineers. By visiting the Danfoss booth at iVT Expo, engineers will learn how to take advantage of these trends and simplify the machine development process.
HMI solutions
Modern, ergonomic cab designs enhance comfort and reduce fatigue, helping operators feel safe and in control. Danfoss Controls technologies enable original equipment manufacturers to modernize their machines, improving operator experience while streamlining operation. Hands-on displays will allow visitors to interact with the solutions that deliver on these objectives, including the Ikontrol family of remote controls, JS1-H joysticks, HMR CAN rotary, and the PLUS+1 programmable DM700 7-inch display.
Autonomy
From relieving labor shortages to improving performance and safety, autonomous machines are emerging as a primary solution to many common industry problems. The benefits of autonomy are wide-ranging, making it a powerful solution. Danfoss has both the solutions and the expertise required to guide customers on their road to autonomy, with a team dedicated to developing tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of OEMs. At the booth, the Danfoss Autonomy team will showcase its recently launched PLUS+1 A+ autonomous software solutions, Autonomous Custom Engineering Services (ACES), and hardware solutions.
Kicking off this year’s iVT Expo in Cologne will be the panel discussion, “The future of off-highway autonomy,” with Danfoss Power Solutions’ Adam Khaw, head of Autonomy, as moderator, and featuring Estela Nario Bago, product manager, Autonomy hardware and systems, along with industry experts. Panelists will discuss the changes happening in the off-highway industry and the impacts of recent technology developments.
Electrification
Electrification is changing the way the world moves through systems that lower fuel and energy consumption while reducing carbon dioxide and small particle emissions. Danfoss Editron designs and manufactures sophisticated hybrid and fully electric drivetrains that are easily integrated into heavy-duty and commercial vehicles and machines. On show will be the new ED3 onboard charger with electric power take-off, EC-C1200 inverter, and eHydraulics package featuring the EM-PMI240 electric machine and Series 45 open-circuit pump.
Danfoss’ expertise in electrification will also be featured in the conference program through a presentation by Riccardo Bianchi, subsystem engineer. His session, titled “Electrification revolution: Enhancing efficiency and innovating with Danfoss technologies,” will discuss the electrification landscape and the megatrends driving the shift. Bianchi will also examine the total cost of ownership for off-highway machines, emphasizing the role of efficiency in electrification.
