Haulotte is increasing productivity and machine downtime with the introduction of an automatic power-off function.
Aware of the problem of operators leaving the ignition key in a boom for a substantial period of time and upon return find that the machine cannot be restarted, the firm is doing its part to resolve the issue.
To prevent such situations, the boom already equipped with the onboard diagnostic tool ActivScreen Cat.2 now also includes the automatic power off function that preserves the ignition battery in the process.
A Haulotte spokesman said, “A discharged ignition battery is now a thing of the past! Haulotte are booms now automatically switched off after 4 hours of inactivity.
“The machine and the screen will restart without difficulty, All together, they avoid a significant loss of productivity and income.”
As well as preserving the ignition battery, the machine is better able to perform in cold weather conditions, while maintenance costs are reduced and productivity can remain consistently high with no downtime.
The device will be gradually made available as a standard feature, at no additional cost on the HA16 RTJ, HA20 RTJ, HA20 LE, HA26 RTJ, HT23 RTJ and HT28 RTJ models in the Haulotte boom lineup.
