Liebherr’s compact crawler excavator is to support Travaux Publics du Vignoble’s (TPV) construction activities.
The R 914 will be added to the Alsace, France-based company’s fleet of Liebherr vehicles and will be used primarily for earthmoving tasks, the development of water supply networks, and the construction of outdoor areas for private homes. Already under TPV’s management are A 311 and A 314 wheeled excavators, an L 506 Compact and an L 509 Stereoloader.
A Liebherr spokesman said, “This investment by TPV is a reflection of the level of trust that its two managing directors, Etienne Oesch and Yann Sciquot, and their 30 employees have been placing in Liebherr for some time. TPV has been relying on its Liebherr sales partner since the company’s formation in 2007.”
The new machine comes equipped with a Stage IV/Tier 4f engine and with a short tail swing of 1.55m, can be used to perform tasks in confined spaces and reduce accidents and damage in the process.
The R 914 Compact is Liebherr’s smallest crawler excavator, and has a 14.9 metric ton weight as well as offering 122hp of power.
TPV’s Oesch said, “When we were looking for a compact excavator for work in restricted spaces, the impressive solution the Liebherr sales partner presented to the company was the R 914 Compact: high levels of performance on construction sites, superb operating comfort and precise movements combined with rapid deployment.”
