Komatsu will launch a new 4-tonne skid steer loader and a new 5-tonne compact track loader at Bauma 2025.
The new compact track loader prototype and skid steer loader prototype join the “dash 8” range to deliver unbeatable customer values to the loader sector.
They are specifically focused on the European market providing improved operator capacity and hydraulic specification with a low emission and low maintenance stage V engine.
“Komatsu is excited to launch a new fully redesigned skid steer loader and new compact track loader, keeping their iconic uncompromising reliability and durability, well known with their previous generation” says Alex Visentin, product manager for the new skid steer and compact track loader. “Both machines deliver one of the highest operating capacity in the category, merged with superior lifting capacity, breakout and traction force meeting the evolving needs of our customers.”
The new compact track loader operates with low emissions thanks to its 53,7 kW Stage V compliant engine with diesel particulate filter. Significant operating capacity with over 1.6 tonnes, for both models, is granted by the symmetrical layout which ensures weight distribution and stability in all conditions.
Powerful performance is delivered through high drawbar pull, breakout force, lift pin height and the highest lifting capacity versus equivalent competitors’ models. The redesigned hydraulics feature standard high flow setting with a variable displacement pump that delivers high power to the attachments. Precise and configurable travel settings are easily managed through the new EPC joysticks.
Maintenance requirements are reduced as there is no need for SCR aftertreatment, keeping the overall running cost low. The reversible fan drive reduces dirt accumulation in the rear engine room. The new cab layout includes a pull-up sliding door ensuring absolute comfort and non-stop working, whatever the conditions and front attachment in use. A complete suspended operator console with an air suspended seat grants high operator comfort, while the pressurized cab keeps the operator environment clean. An additional double adjustment seat guide helps the operator to set the most comfortable position between EPC, monitor and seat bar.
Versatility and safety features include a rear-view camera with Human detection system, 5 aux line port option for the highest flexibility with attachment, 5″ monitor integrated in the seat bar with incorporated touchscreen radio, LED lights standard and an optional front hydraulic quick coupler. New operator comfort functions are available thanks to the new software, with both models offering several functions to improve easiness of operations including slow speed system, cruise control, return to dig, adaptive steering, 3 different drive modes and many others.
