The Industrial Truck Association (ITA) has announced Brett Wood, president & CEO of Toyota Material Handling North America, is the new ITA chairman of the board of directors, effective January 22, 2015.
Previously vice chairman of the board, he will complete the remaining term (2015) of Brian Butler, president & CEO, Kion North America, who announced his pending retirement from Kion.
Butler has served on the ITA Executive Committee since 2007 and was elected chairman of the board for 2014 and was reelected for 2015. Wood has been a long-serving member of the ITA’s Executive Committee and has also held previous chairmanship positions within ITA. His predictions for the industrial vehicle sector in 2033 appeared in iVT September 2013.
