Hillhead visitors will be among the first in Europe to see Hyundai’s recently launched crawler excavator, the OEM has confirmed.
It was only at the end of February this year that Hyundai confirmed that the HX130 LCR would be launched to the European market. The excavator, which debuted in the Americas late last year, is powered by a 73.6hp (55kW) Perkins 854F Tier 4 Final/Stage IIIB-compliant diesel engine. The diesel particulate filter-equipped (DPF) engine delivers optimum power and fuel efficiency, without the need for SCR, so users don’t need to use AdBlue.
The LCR model has a standard operating weight of 28,510 lb (12,930kg), while the LCRD model’s standard operating weight is 30,075 lb (13,640kg). It achieves a maximum dig depth of 18ft 4in (5,570mm) and maximum digging reach of 27ft (8,220mm), and provides bucket digging force of 22,860 lb-ft (3,160kg/m). The HL130 LCR excavator is equipped with a standard 0.77yd³ (0.59m³) capacity and 40.6 in wide (1.3 meters) bucket.
A Hyundai spokesman said, “Latest engine technologies, a more efficient vertically stacked cooling design, efficient electronic fan clutch, and hydraulic system innovations on the Hyundai HX series excavators contribute to an overall fuel efficiency improvement of up to 9% compared with previous models.”
The Hillhead event takes place in Buxton, England on June 26-28 and alongside Hyundai’s new crawler excavator, the HL960HD and the HL975 wheel loaders, the R18-9 and R30Z-9A compact excavators, and the three other models in the OEM’s HX crawler excavator range will be present.
