Hyundai has expanded its wheel loader range with the HL965. The new model has been designed to deal with harsh environments and to have a longer shelf life.
Powering the new machine is a Stage IV Cummins QSL9 electronically controlled diesel engine, providing gross power of 200kW at 2,100rpm. With an operating weight of 20,100kg, the HL965 offers improved maximum axle load capacity of 44,000kg at the front, and 35,000kg at the rear, using standard 23.5 R25, L3 tyres.
The operator’s cab is 10% larger than a 9a series vehicle. It has a fully adjustable, ergonomic seat and is fully sound-proofed.
An electro-hydraulic integrated control lever allows operators to use attachments with ease and a revised position of the mirror improves visibility.
A Hyundai spokeswoman said, “The HL965 is manufactured with the highest grade of steel. Rigid cycle testing, heat testing, vibration testing and shock load testing is conducted in the design and manufacturing process of all new models ensuring optimum durability and reliability.”
All Hyundai HL900 series models include an onboard weighing system as standard equipment. Accurate to +/- 1%, the system has automatic and manual settings for monitoring individual and cumulative bucket load weights. System measurements are displayed on the multi-function screen in the cab, providing load-weight monitoring reliable enough to support production management.
