HydraForce is increasing its presence in South America with the recent acquisition of Hydraulic Designers Ltda.
The Illinois, USA-based firm completed the deal earlier this month for the Brazilian firm, which is located in the state of Sao Paulo, and rebranded the entity as HydraForce Hydraulics Ltda. The South American off-highway equipment market is seen as fast growing and HydraForce has sought to capitalize on this with the deal.
“United by a common business culture, this new alliance between HydraForce and Hydraulic Designers promises to strengthen both of our companies. I could not be happier to welcome the Hydraulic Designer staff to the HydraForce family,” said Jim Brizzolara, president of HydraForce.
“Hydraulic Designers ability to provide advanced technical solutions to equipment builders in Brazil is unsurpassed. We welcome their skills and talents, and will make great use of the expanded capacity that this facility will provide for us.”
The plant in Taboao da Serra employs over 100 people who design and build custom hydraulic manifolds, primarily for OEMs in the agricultural and construction industries.
“We will be working tirelessly on the integration of our business,” said Aldo Bisson, general manager of newly named HydraForce Hydraulics Ltda. “This is a very exciting time for all of us. Our immediate and future plans are being carefully crafted with the intention of improving our service to our customers. We will combine our resources and invest in our local capabilities and engineering support with the aim of supporting and growing our business in South America.”
