Fronius will reveal for the first time the new orientation of its Perfect Charging Division at CeMAT 2016, which is held on May 31-June 3, in Hanover, Germany.
Be it for the operation of electrically powered forklift trucks in intralogistics, or a reliable power supply for starter batteries of vehicles in production plants, showrooms and workshops, Fronius technology ensures maximum availability of material handling vehicles and a longer service life for batteries in numerous applications around the world.
The specialist supports its customers throughout the entire service chain, from analyzing the current situation and the savings potential through to the planning, design and commissioning of the optimum charging infrastructure.
Fronius also remains on hand to provide maintenance, repair and continuous optimization services. With the Ri charging process, Fronius offers the most advanced, most efficient and most gentle charging process for lead acid batteries anywhere in the world.
The Austrian expert is also one of the pioneers in developing alternative drive technologies such as the lithium-ion battery and fuel cell, and has already incorporated future-proof solutions into its portfolio. The clear objective is the sustainable optimization of the customers’ intralogistics processes, with a reduction in costs as a result.
CeMAT visitors can learn about the technology leader’s range of products on Stand L09 in Hall 26. Fronius is expanding the successful Selectiva range to include several new models in the 2kW and 3kW power categories. Designed for use with traction batteries with a voltage of 24V or 48V, these battery charging systems like the rest of the range are equipped with the innovative Ri charging process. This process minimizes overcharging, which otherwise causes a high level of energy loss and heats up the battery with detrimental effects. The user therefore benefits from an extended battery life and increased availability.
Fronius has also developed the Cool Battery Guide Easy information and management system, a solution for the optimum utilisation of the battery pool. A control unit combined with LED strips on each individual battery charging system indicates which battery has been fully charged for the longest period of time, intuitively guiding the user to the correct battery. This ensures that every battery is used equally and has enough time to cool down.
Fuel cells developed by Fronius will also be on display on the exhibition stand, as well as lithium-ion solutions. Both systems have huge potential for use as future drive solutions in the intralogistics sector.
