Doosan has introduced a number of new features for its large wheel loaders to improve vehicle safety and operator ergonomics.
Now available on all five DL models as standard, the improvements are aimed at increasing visibility in and around the operator’s cab.
A new handrail has been installed around the cab roof with three holding points to allow operators to move safely around the cab while performing tasks such as cleaning the vehicle’s windows.
The addition of a large step and access platform at the front of the cab and a change in wiring routing has allowed the horn to be repositioned below the road light.
A new ergonomic joystick control with a progressive thumb wheel ensures there is no need for any further levers to simplify the management of third valve operations, while a rolling sunshield on the rear window avoids sunlight disturbances.
A Doosan Construction Equipment spokesperson said, “Together these changes ensure maximum safety and confidence, with very safe and faster movements around the cab (without any obstacles) during daily maintenance.
“These new features complement the outstanding productivity and fuel economy offered by the Doosan wheel loaders, where existing features include the high comfort cab, powerful Doosan and Scania Stage IV engines, smooth and responsive hydraulics, a ZF powertrain, axle cooling and auxiliary hydraulic connections.”
