A new line from Zeter’s Proxima series will be making its domestic debut at this Saturday’s Czech Ploughing Championship in Brno. The tractors are to enter serial production by the beginning of next year but are primed for this weekend, having already made a cameo appearance at last month’s Agro Show Trade fair in Poland.
“Proxima is among the most popular model series, which is why we’ve decided to apply a new design on these tractors after the Major range,” says Jakub Hurta, the Marketing Manager for Zetor Tractors. “It is once again based on the design concept we´ve introduced in cooperation with the Italian studio Pininfarina and we’re definitely looking to use it for other model ranges as well,”
In addition to the new design, the Proxima tractors feature many additional improvements including a unique hood angle and roof shape, which allow the tractor driver a better view from the cabin and when working with front loaders. The A/C and heating system have been innovated, which has significantly improved its effect. New material strength improving technologies were also used in the production.
The tractors will be available under the names Proxima CL, Proxima GP and Proxima HS with power ratings from 76 to 117 HP. The new design will gradually be applied to all three models, as well as other model ranges
Zetor has already shone this year after being awarded best consumption in ploughing at the inaugural Romanian ploughing championships, with a three mouldboards-plough, the straightest ploughing and the best furrow ending.
