JCB has announced that its new loadall and the world’s first skid steer with a telescopic boom will make their UK debuts at Plantworx 2017. The JCB 540-180 HiViz loadall and the JCB Teleskid will be seen in the UK for the first time at the construction show, which is to be held on June 6-8 at the Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire, UK.
The new teleskid is capable of reaching 60% further forward than its rivals and can reach 8% higher too, and is the first skid steer in the world able to dig below its chassis to a depth of 1m.
The JCB 540-180 HiViz is an 18m loadall, which expands the range of the company’s telescopic handlers and offers a 5% improvement in lift height, 10% increase in forward reach, a 50% lower SAE serviceability rating, and a 50% service cost saving over 1,000 hours, and provides 20% faster cycle times.
JCB chairman, Lord Anthony Bamford, said, “The new JCB Teleskid is the first skid steer with a single telescopic boom and has been built on our reputation as the world’s number one manufacturer of telehandlers.
“The JCB Teleskid can reach higher, further forward and dig deeper than any other skid steer can. And because it’s compact, it can access areas you wouldn’t have thought possible.
“So, if you want to buy a skid steer with greater productivity, efficiency, visibility, versatility, stability and maneuverability, now you can.”
As well as the two machines, the company will also be presenting its Hydradig 110W as well as a range of its compact and tracked excavators, wheeled loading shovels, backhoe loader and site dumper.
