The new JCB 413S Agri wheeled loader will make its public debut at Lamma 2017, the agricultural machinery and services show being held in Peterborough in the UK on January 18 & 19, 2017.
The 413S Agri is one of three mid-range agricultural loaders to get the more spacious and better equipped JCB CommandPlus cab, an engine that meets Euro Stage IV/US Tier 4 Final emissions without needing a costly diesel particulate filter, and a temperature-reactive reversible cooling fan.
In addition, the 8.95 tonne JCB 413S can be equipped with a foldaway trailer hitch to make use of its first-rate towing ability and 48km/h top speed. With 108kW (145hp) and 560Nm of torque available from its 4.8-liter JCB EcoMAX engine, the 413S is one of JCB’s high power-to-weight ratio ‘S’ wheeled loaders designed for the more challenging loading and re-handling roles on a farm.
Load-sensing flow-on-demand hydraulics supply oil at up to 156liters/min for the articulated chassis steering, four-wheel power brakes and front end equipment.
A choice of loader arms equips the machine for different priorities standard arms for best load lifting performance and high lift arms for best reach and lift height. Accordingly, tipping load capacities range from 4.6 to 5.6 tonnes with up to 3.61 meters of load-over clearance to cope with high-sided spreaders, feeders and bins.
Optional hydraulic suspension is available to cushion the arms for improved ride comfort and load security, and a wide choice of performance-matched implements from the JCB Agri attachments range is available.
The new CommandPlus cab brings new levels of information, control and comfort to the JCB 413S Agri, with more space, excellent visibility and improved sound suppression making it a great place to spend long hours in the driving seat.
Windows demist faster on chilly mornings, there are generous storage compartments and among the standard fixtures and fittings are an adjustable steering column, air suspension seat, windscreen roller blind, heated external mirrors and a 12V power socket.
The High Spec option adds a deluxe seat, twin roller blinds, and removable rubber mats in the storage compartments either side of the instrument display, along with an information screen with integrated remote camera display. In addition, CommandPlus Control enables in-cab adjustment of auxiliary oil flow, the optional boom suspension system and timing intervals for the reversing engine fan when fitted.
Daily routine service checks can now be made from within the cab, where a choice of new joystick and multi-lever controls for the hydraulics caters for different operator preferences. Both designs are seat-mounted so keep comfortably close to hand, and include a thumb-operated forward/reverse shuttle switch as well as proportional control of all loader functions.
New optional LED lighting, which has a significantly longer service life, can be had in place of the standard and mid-spec halogen lights to provide operators with much better visibility around the machine when working in the dark.
