CVTcorp, a designer and manufacturer of mechanical continuously variable transmissions (mCVT), and Zuidberg Group of Companies, a Netherlands-based co-engineer and state-of-the-art producer of powershift transmissions, gearwheels, front linkage systems for tractors and rubber track systems, returned from Agritechnica 2015 with multiple requests for collaboration on their innovative mechanical CVT technology.
“We went to the Agritechnica 2015 exhibition to showcase our mechanical CVT technology in a new Zuidberg front-mounted PTO product,” said Daniel Girard, president and CEO of CVTcorp. At Agritechnica, this CVT PTO was awarded with a Silver Medal for Innovation.
“The feedback we received about the use of a mechanical CVT in front-mounted PTOs was very positive and global manufacturers saw the potential fuel savings through the use of our technology. The requests we have received for continued innovation and development has exceeded our expectations.”
“In addition to highlighting our development work with Zuidberg on the front-mounted PTO application, we were also able to discuss the use of our mechanical CVT in transmission applications,” said Richard Rose, CMO and Business Development of CVTcorp. “The mechanical efficiency and ease of operator use really appealed to manufacturers looking for greater fuel efficiency and gaining more power from Tier 4 Final engines. The fact that our technology works on electronic and mechanical engines was well received as a potential worldwide platform.”
