Hyster is increasing its support for the automotive and engineering industries with the launch of two new rider tow tractors to its existing range.
Suitable for any type of line feed operations, both the three-wheel T7.0HS3 and four-wheel T8.0HS4 have been designed to enhance productivity and are capable of towing up to 7,000kg and 8,000kg respectively.
“The new rider Hyster tow tractors offer power, high performance and excellent maneuverability,” said Tracy Brooks, industry solutions group manager for Hyster Europe.
“The automotive industry is very much demand-driven, so dependable and efficient materials handling equipment is vital to operate with optimum efficiency to meet just-in-time requirements.”

Both models offer excellent maneuverability thanks to the compact design, anti-roll back on ramps device, and external inching control buttons to assist with trailer hitching. The tow tractors also feature adjustable acceleration and travel speeds that can be set by a service engineer using a console, to meet the different needs of specific applications.
Brooks added, “These new tow tractors offer a number of ergonomic features, which contribute to excellent productivity during long and demanding shifts.
“There is a single step, a comfortable suspended seat, and intuitive truck controls. The 4-wheel model also features power-assisted steering, a heated cab option and slam locking doors.”
A number of options are available to tailor the vehicles to the specific needs of an application, including four different battery sizes and battery extraction options, a choice of tires, and roll-up PVC curtain side doors.
Hyster Tugger Train systems are also available and can be used with the entire tow tractor range, enabling production line-feed operations to be optimized.
The new trucks extend the Hyster tow tractor range, joining the existing LO5.0-7.0T models. Popular in the automotive sector, the LO5.0-7.0T can either be operated by a standing driver or automated for certain repetitive tasks.
