Off-highway vehicle controls have been simplified with the development and launch of intuitive new technology.
Grayhill’s Touch Encoder has been designed to make the life easier for vehicle development engineers in creating ergonomic operator controls.
Combining multiple buttons, trackballs and switches, the product has surface mount technology.
“Designers use an intuitive tablet development app that lets them personalize multitouch gestures, generate images, customize the display, and trigger the logic themselves – all without needing a software engineer to configure the device,” said a Grayhill spokesman.
With a high-resolution display, tap, swipe and rotation gestures are all supported, and the product is impact-resistant to vibrations and noise (sealed to IP67). USB 2.0 and CAN J1939 communications are compatible with the device.
