Optoi has launched new sensor technology suitable for a wide variety of industrial vehicle applications.
eLynx is the new brand that represents the technology first developed and patented in 2001 by Optoi Microelectronics and Giuliani, and it is designed to be the next generation in the position measure on hydraulic cylinders.
The consolidated technological core is the optical reading of a barcode imprinted on the chromium rod using laser-marking processes. eLynx family has a wide range of solutions, from single to absolute position sensors, with a single or redundant channel.
eLynx differentiates from other sensors on the market thanks to the highest accuracy of detection, easy substitution in the field, and its reliability; to date more than 500,000 smart cylinders have been supplied to the off-highway market with this technology, and the field failure return rate has been less than 25ppm.
Giuliani and Optoi presented it at Agritechnica: the new eLynx absolute sensor for strokes up to 1000mm, suitable for steering systems, stabilizers, suspensions and many others.
This model has lasted a long evaluation and qualification process at customers for two years and now is ready to be produced in serial production since 2018.
