AKG of America has announced the building of its cutting-edge research and development (R&D) center has been completed.
The 32,000ft² (2,973m²) building will enable the development of high-performance coolers and heat exchangers, and is customized to be more productive and efficient in bringing innovative technologies to market.
The new building is based at the company’s headquarters in the US city of Mebane, North Carolina, and will be officially opened on February 21. The R & D center features an impressive, large radiator thermal shock test stand for validating new and improving existing products. It enables the testing of large or multiple smaller radiators at the same time.
In addition, the company will be showcasing – at the official opening – its AEL product line and feature new products being released into the market.
Applications for AKG America’s products include construction, mining, agricultural, forestry and specialty on-highway machinery, power generators, compressors, materials handling equipment, buses and others.
