Liebherr has announced it is to present an intelligent position transducer and higher power density hydraulic cylinders at this year’s Hannover Messe trade fair in Germany.
The LiView technology offers condition monitoring that detects faults to reduce machine downtime and increase productivity, while the 380 bar series has improved power density but similar flexibility levels to the outgoing 350 range of hydraulic cylinders.
Determining piston position and speed of all hydraulic cylinders precisely, the system is capable of detecting relevant data independently and using it to create a reliable fault diagnosis.
A Liebherr spokesperson said, “Thanks to its permanent self-monitoring, LiView is able to determine its current state by means of parameters and to compare it to the optimum state. Thus, the system detects occurring faults reliably, such as undervoltage or a defective probe.”
The new series of hydraulic cylinders compliment the new position transducer and include a tandem sealing system ensuring longer service.
Thanks to their optimized piston rod coatings, the hydraulic cylinders can be used flexibly
in application-specific paintings, and thanks to their corrosion protection, under extreme
environmental conditions.
No fewer than 20 different piston diameters are available, each of which can be combined with one of two piston rod diameters, so that 40 basic variants in total are available.
