John Deere has announced the launch of a compact tractor to support a variety of farming and forestry needs. The new 3038E is an economical and versatile machine appropriate for small-scale livestock farmers as well as landscape contractors.
Equipped with a powerful, Stage IV diesel engine, it generates 37.3hp and comes in four-wheel drive as standard.
The machine features a hydrostatic transmission that includes twin touch foot pedals, power assisted steering as well as an independent power take-off system. With an easy-lifting bonnet, wide-open access to the engine bay for maintenance is achieved with minimal effort.
John Deere has also developed a new front loader, the 300E, with a curved boom and durable components to compliment the tractor.
A John Deere spokesperson said, “Together with the tractor’s tight turning circle, this offers a highly maneuverable combination for materials handling, whether working indoors or outdoors.”
The 3038E compact tractor also offers telescoping draft links as a factory or field-installed option. These make attaching and removing rear implements very straightforward, and are compatible with a wide range of implements including mowers, rear blades and posthole diggers.
