RCT has won the Innovative Mining Solution of the Year award for its ControlMaster Independent Guidance solution at the 2016 Prospect Mining Awards in Sydney, Australia, The awards program has been running for more than a decade and is one of the most prestigious for the Australian mining industry.
“We were absolutely thrilled to receive this award!” said RCT’s executive director and CEO Brett White. “We truly believe in the solution and its ability to transform the underground mining industry. This award is a fantastic acknowledgement of our team’s hard work and dedication to the industry.
“Everything we do at RCT is a collaborative effort: our team’s technical insight is combined with the best minds and hands-on experience in the world which enables us to produce solutions that we consider to be ‘game-changers’ for the industry.”
RCT’s ControlMaster Independent Guidance solution enables underground vehicles to travel autonomously at greater speeds in narrow and difficult to navigate drives, delivering significant gains in production, while eliminating machine damage and ensuring KPIs are met every time.
“The system is different to others available on the market today as it can be installed on all makes and models of underground loaders and trucks, making it ideal for sites that operate a mixed fleet,” White said.
“The fact that this system won Innovative Mining Solution of the Year reinforces how advanced it is.”
Other solutions competing in the awards category were from Caterpillar, Enerpac, Flexco, H and B Mining, Komatsu, Mti Group, No Bolt Operations, Pulse Mining Systems and Scott Automation & Robotics.
