Genie has updated its telescopic boom lifts to work in higher capacity applications. The Genie SX-105 XC and SX-125 XC replace the popular legacy S-105 and S125 models and have been engineered to achieve a dual lift capacity of 300kg and 454kg respectively.
A new smooth operating envelope replaces the saw tooth feature of the outgoing models and is able to retract automatically, providing a full range of motion up to 32m and 38.2m respectively, with 135 of vertical jib rotation.
Both booms are equipped with a 55kW Tier4F/Stage IIIB diesel engine and a redesigned generator, as well as a mini XChassis axle that enhances maneuverability in confined spaces. Additionally, to cut set-up time and increase performance and overall productivity, the new models are capable of zero-load field calibration.
“Priced right, the new Genie SX-105 XC and SX-125 XC booms will be competitive in local markets while increasing customers’ ability to get more work done on every project,” said Adam Hailey, Genie director of product marketing, Terex AWP.
“We packed them with performance-enhancing features, including 24.38m of outreach, the ability to work 2.69m below grade and a stable 3.94 x 4.11m operating footprint. We also kept our focus on operators’ needs by updating the machines’ user interface and designing simple, easy-to-use booms. These models are engineered to deliver a higher rental return on invested capital (rROIC) for our customers’ businesses,” added Hailey.
The new booms comply with the overload restriction guidelines in the proposed ANSI A92 and CSA B354 industry standards in North America, as well as the current European EN280 and Australian AS 1418.10 standards.
