Wacker Nueson used the Hillhead construction and quarrying show in the UK last week (25-27 June) to show off its new Dual View dumpers – the DV45 and DV125, launched last year.
The dumpers, which have either a 4.2 or 12.5-tonne payload allow the operator quickly change the seat position through a 180-degree rotation of the entire operating console. This always gives the operator a perfect view of the direction of work and travel – during transport, loading and unloading.
Also on display were other Dual View models from the range, the DV60 and DV90
“We are very happy to be exhibiting again at the Hillhead show this year. It is an excellent platform to exchange thoughts and information with the professionals in our industry and the best way to show our extended family of Duel View dumpers with our solutions for improving safety and efficiency on the construction site,” said Andy Williams, MD of Wacker Neuson UK.
Dual View dumper DV45
With the new DV45 Dual View dumper, the electro-hydraulically rotatable cabin can be turned by 180 degrees at the press of a button on the joystick. In the so-called Multi-View mode, it is possible to work in a laterally (partially) rotated cabin. This gives the operator an ideal view of the lateral working area, and he can see precisely where he is offloading the material and where the machine is traveling along.
The automatic skip return automatically returns the skip at the press of a button to the initial position, while the operator can focus on driving. The installed hill-hold function, intelligent tilt monitoring, and seatbelt monitoring with optional start release provide additional safety.
Dual View dumper DV125
At the Hillhead show, the new Dual View dumper DV125 was presented to the UK audience for the first time. The DV125 expands the model series of the Dual View dumpers and is best suited to applications with fast material handling with a payload of up to 12.5 tons. The DV125 is equipped with skip and tilt monitoring, skip guard, hill-hold function, laminated safety glass, and further safety features, many of them included as standard.
The compact design and the Dual View operating concept enable unrestricted visibility when driving, manoeuvring, and loading and unloading – a great safety advantage, particularly in confined working environments.
EW100: entering a new era of wheeled excavators
Also, on display at the booth was the Wacker Neuson EW100 wheeled excavator. The 10-ton wheeled excavator has an intelligent attachment management with tool recognition, and an advanced human-machine interface. Due to the powerful drive hydraulics and high basic work performance of the EW100, Wacker says it can accomplish tasks typically requiring a 14-tonne excavator.
