Gehl reveals its most powerful skid steer loader

Gehl has developed its most powerful skid steer loader, capable of performing the most arduous of tasks.

The 4200V, with an operating weight of 5,291kg, is currently the largest machine of its type on the market and offers a substantial 1,905kg of rated operating capacity – an increase of more than 90kg on the outgoing model.

Featuring a Deutz-developed Tier IV-certified engine, the vehicle offers an output of 120hp and almost 480Nm of torque, giving it a top speed of 18.7km/h.

“The Gehl 4200V brings to market the most powerful skid steer loader with a 120.7hp Deutz engine and 4,200 lb of rated operating capacity. Built to handle the toughest applications, the 4200V excels in demolition, heavy construction, and road building and infrastructure,” said Nathan Ryan, Gehl global product line manager, skid steer loaders.

“The 4200V comes fully equipped to run high performance attachments in a spacious operator station with standard high flow auxiliary hydraulics and 14-pin connector.”

Features needed to operate attachments such as mulching heads, cold planers and rock wheels come as standard, as are high flow auxiliary hydraulics offering flows of up to 41 gal/min for optimal performance. Easily accessible hydraulic lines with flat-face couplers are available on the front of the machine, close to the operator’s cab.

Inside the cab, a large, domed glass front door and wide side windows ensure good visibility, while the choice of either a foot, or hand, throttle increases travel speed. An optional rearview camera provides the operator with enhanced visibility.
