MTA to provide its first display screen for an off-highway application

The G-Series wheel loaders are the first off-highway vehicles to benefit from an 8in color display developed by MTA, Case has confirmed.

The company is established in the business of development and production of a wide range of electromechanical and electronic products but this is the first time it will supply components in an off-highway application.

The Sea Hawk display screen will be introduced on all seven models in Case’s latest range of wheel loaders.

Designed and engineered internally by the company’s electronics division, the Android-based platform is optimized for the requirements of the vehicle, with safety features developed according to ISO 25119.

Specifically tailored for off-highway applications, the display includes a protective lens with anti-reflective treatment glued to the display with optical adhesives, and by eliminating the air between the two surfaces, the ambient light reflections are significantly reduced – making it suitable for outdoor conditions.

With the inclusion of an IP66 protection degree, the display is highly resistant to vibrations and temperature changes.

An MTA spokesman said, “The new Case Construction Equipment G Series wheel loaders offer operators a high level of control, providing them with the perfect operational environment to ensure maximum productivity.

“Hence the choice of the MTA Sea Hawk display that makes it possible to quickly and easily check the status and settings of the machine, being easy to read even when exposed to direct sunlight. If necessary, it can also act as a rearview monitor.”
