Manitou extends range of rotating telehandlers

Manitou has introduced two new rotating telehandler models, suitable for high-rise construction work.

The addition of the MRT 3050 and MRT 2470 means the company now offers rotating telescopic machines with load bearing capacity of seven tonnes for heights in excess of 20m.

The 2470 model has a boom reach of 24m and benefits from a new chassis and with a newly-designed counterweight, the rotating telehandler provides good stability – even with a maximum load of seven tonnes at 24m.

A hydrostatic transmission option allows the operator to choose between a manual or automatic gearbox and, with two ratios, has a maximum speed of 40km/h.

Arnaud Boyer, vice president of marketing and product development, Manitou Group, said, “In order to provide our customers with the best solutions, we have incorporated many innovations into these models, giving the user a better performance and greater security. With our MRT 2470 model's very high load capacity, the Manitou Group has initiated a new era of rotating telehandlers”.

The 3050 model can lift up to five tonnes and has a maximum lifting height of 30m. To increase precision and safety, the versatile stabilizers have a deployment length of 6.25m and are now fitted with a strain gauge system to ensure secure detection of the pressure of the stabilizers on the ground.

Equipped with a Mercedes Final Tier IV engine, the machine has 129kW of power and 750Nm of torque at 1,500rpm at its disposal.
