New hydrostatic transmission pumps feature electronic sensor technology

Italian pump manufacturer Hansa-TMP will participate in the Hanover MDA exhibition (Hall 20, Stand No. C07), displaying its recently launched variable displacement axial piston pumps for closed loop circuits, with an integrated series of electronic sensors which allow the full electronic control of all pump functions. These options are specifically suitable for radio remote-controlled vehicles and also offer more comfortable operation and control of machines with an operator on board.

The sensor options concern the pressure of charge pump and of the main circuit, temperature of oil, rotational speed and angle of the swashplate which regulates the oil-flow. Displacement variation of the pumps is preferentially by integrated electric proportional valves or with hydraulic servo.

Displacements of these TPV 1500 series pumps are currently between 17 and 21cc/rev and the pump design is extremely compact, allowing a working pressure of up to 350 bar. Also available are also tandem pumps of Hansa-TMP’s well-known Back-to-Back concept.

This sensor technology on small hydrostatic pumps is rarely seen on mobile hydraulic systems for compact loaders, sweepers, mini-excavators, compaction rollers and similar machines, wheel or chain driven.
